Olivia Holds Her Own
We decided to sit and observe how Olivia would handle the situation that was unfolding before us. We were at the mall and little Miss Livy wanted to play in the kid's play-area. She had been playing in a certain area for a little while when a rather aggressive little fellow came along and began to push her with his feet and hands. She just looked at him. He spoke to her in Romanian. And again she just looked at him and didn't budge. He continued to try to physically move her from the spot she was in, but she held her ground. She never pushed him back or spoke a word to him. She simply looked at him and kept her spot in a calm, rather confident manner. Finally Olivia decided that she was ready to move on and so she calmly walked away to another area. I (Cindy) must admit that I was very happy with how she handled the little fellow. I am not sure that I would have been so tolerant.
